We were inclined to finally post a question due to the increase in users complaining about the issue. When I remote control a machine from my Vista workstation (with LDMS 8.8 SP2 Console) views such us Desktop background/color and the most obvious thing is Outlook changes. It is very hard to explain how it looks different from when you are not remote controlling the PC but it looks like the fonts and border colors of the Outlook window have changed (as if you changed the Windows Theme). The other issue that we found and proved today, is that some PC's do not revert back to the previous (normal) view that the users customized prior to being controlled when you end the remote control session. One good example that happened today is that our logo which is set centered as a desktop background on each display (dual-monitors), there was a third logo that was split across both screens so that half of it is on the left screen and half is on the right screen. And even changing the desktop background to something else and then back to the logo did not resolve the issue (of course after restarting too). So the question we get asked more and more recently is "What did you do to my Outlook?" I have verified and tried changing my Remote Control options to optimize for LAN (use mirror driver, do not suppress remote wallpaper).
Please advise.
