We are currently implementing LDMS 9 and I'm trying to figure out the best method for my help desk to easily find a user's computer in order to find remote control. We have many shared computers so, for us, the best method is by username. Users more frequently know their username off the top of their head than the machine name or machine ip. The "owner" field isn't helpful to us because we are in a healthcare environment and staff are moving around a lot from computer to computer. The "owner" rarely reflects who's logged in. Is there a way to get the current logged in user? Especially if you don't yet know what machine they might be logged into?
Side question:
How is "owner" calculated anyway? Does it ever recalculate? Can this be controlled somewhere?
Thanks!
