We added the LANDesk management Gateway appliance (in our DMZ) to our environment and I had some questions about remote control.
This is the first time we tried to connect to a PC that was not connected to our network through the gateway. We tried using our username and password which we log into the MGMT Suite with but that would not work. We tried using the service account on the gateway and that allowed us to connect.
My questions are....
1. Is there a way to allow our user accounts to connect to PCs through the management gateway intead of using the service account on the gateway?
2. If not, can we set up a "Helpdesk" account that my team can use.
Keep in mind, they are able to use remote control through the management suite when PCs are on the network, so access is there.
