When they select a PC to remote control the html remote works but not the normal Remote Control option.
Is there something I am missing?
We are starting to upgrade to Windows 10. When we remote connect to the Winodows 10 boxes the connection is really slow. When you send the cont. alt delete command it takes about about minute for it to show the login. The user see it right away. Another example is if you are using Window Eplorer to browse to a location it will take about 20-30 seconds to show what you are typing. We do not have any issues with our Windows 7 boxes. We are set to optize for for fastest connection (LAN). Has anyone else had this issue? we are on landesk 9.60.2.48 sp3. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible to have the automatically accept the connection after a time when the "end user must grant....." is allowed in the remote control configuration.
I explain, i want the end user allow the connection, but if no one is on the computer and the session is open, i can't take control of the remote computer.
Have someone has an idea ???

Hello everybody.
It appears that with newer versions of Firefox, the plugin which allows a user to launch the viewer with a right click on a device in the Web console doesn't get installed by ENURCViewer.exe .
Although I've not been able to understand why, I made a fix, that i'm giving you as a zip file.
The fix has been made by :
You just have to launch "install.bat" or look at the code to see what it does.
Hope this will help for those who can't get HTML5 RC feature right now.

Is remote control session on port 9535 encrypted?
We are using Landesk Management Suite 9.0 SP4 with mostly Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
LANDesk Management Console 9.6 SP3 running on Windows Server 2008R2.
We consistently have to fallback to other remote control methods to help users remotely on our team. There seems to be no rhyme or reason this occurs. The response time from a click can take up to 30seconds, I've seen it!
We have ran the remote control from various machines around the network, even from the main landesk server and the problem still exists.
This happens on hundreds of newly installed Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit machines. This can happen on machines that are on the same subnet as the current remote management console as well. We have removed the posibility that this is network related. The computers in question are all gigabit connected, SSD/i7 desktops that perform excellently locally.
One noticable nuance is that this problem often occurs on computers that have graphics cards installed. Nvidia or AMD seems to make no difference.
Has anyone else noticed these issues?

Is it possible to start a remote control seesion on a PC without a console installation. I copid some files like "isscntr" and other and the session started - the request come but i get no remote screen an my PC. have anybocy an idea or a solution - thanks

We are currently using LDMS 2016 with the following remote control permission settings:
Here is the scenario:
Computer is locked/logged out.
Remote control session is initiated on end users device, and no request dialog is displayed. (Viewing a locked screen)
User returns from being away from their desk and logs in to the device.
Now the remote session is still running, but the user is unaware since their was not prompt.
This may be by design, but this creates a loophole with the request permissions. We want our techs to be able to remote into devices that they are working on after a reboot, but we do not want to allow them to be in a position where they can remote in and wait for the user to unlock/login without the user being notified that they are being remote controlled. I know there is a small notification icon that is displayed and the LANDESK icon glows, but this is somewhat of an issue at the moment.

We have found an issue with the installed remote control mirror driver on our systems. It interferes with our Unix thin client installations when we remote into these systems. It appears that you really have no choice when installing the client agent with Remote Control capabilities as to whether the mirror driver gets installed or not, is this correct? I've tried unchecking the settings within the agent configuration to not use the mirror driver under Remote Control | Indicators | Agent Settings and then rolling out an agent update, but this doesn't seem to change anything. The only way I've found to remove the mirror driver is either disabling it or totally removing it from Device Manager. I found another thread that stated the mirror driver used to be in Add/Remove Programs, but was removed in later versions by LANDesk. We are running v8.8 SP1. I'm primarily looking for an easy way to either disable or remove the mirror driver from all of our clients through LANDesk. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Are there any commandline switches for the remote control executable? Basically what Im trying to do is launch the remote control tool with an argument of an Ipaddress.
Im sure there are a few ways to accomplish this.. I noticed under the remote control tool it stores the recently accessed computers. Is this information stored in a text file? Im thinking it can be done with an authority script using automated key strokes but I would like to see if Landers has already built in functionality for this.
Has anyone played with this before? Our goal is to be able to launch the remote control viewer from our remedy help desk software. Does LANDesk still sell the remedy connector?

When i try use the remote control application in a web GUI i get the following error. It is not a permissions error as i have checked that. I have checked IIS and everything looks to be correct. I upgraded to SP 5 and the problem still persists.

Host pc is running Windows7 Enterprise and user pc is XPsp3. I'm using LANDesk 8.7 sp6 32bit console and while I can RemoteControl into PC's just fine, I can't do just a stand alone file transfer. When I rightclick on the pc, go to RemoteControl --> File Transfer the explorer windows comes up I can go to the harddrive and see all the files, but after that I can't see any of the files inside the other folders down the tree, also can't transfer the files that I can see in this screen. However if I use the normal Remote Control viewer I can copy files off the XP and paste it on my Windows7 machine. Since then I've ran the following files in admin mode and compatibility mode for XPsp3 w/o any change: irccntr.exe, isscntr.exe and console.exe

Without remote control, so on the machine really , to change the login we had to push the "Shift" button and we have the popup loggin (NO PROBLEM)
BUT, on remote control i push the Shift Button and the autologin continue (????????), so I can't change the login!

When attempting to upgrade a Surface Pro 4 device to Windows 10 1607 (Anniversary Update) via the Windows 10 Update Assistant, the Display prerequisite reports "Display: The display is not compatible with Windows 10".
Close Windows 10 Update Assistant. Uninstall the Landesk Remote Control Mirror Driver from Device Manager. Run Windows 10 Update Assistant, the prerequisite check will now show "Display: OK".
It is unknown whether the Remote Control Mirror driver causes any issues with the actual Windows 10 1607 update, so far indications are it only conflicts with the update process.

I've noticed a few times on our new 9.0 SP2 core that Remote Control auth stops working. Users get the "unable to establish a secure session with the remote computer (-5)"
I've tried to shut down and start the com+ app's, but when I do I get "No such Interface Supported" on shutdown and "Access Denied" when I try to start (it's actually running, but I figured I'd try anyway
I can resolve the issue by rebooting the core, but I'd really like to get to the bottom of this. I've noticed it twice now in about a month.
Anyone had trouble like this with the Com+ apps on their core?
I have a lenovo t510 that is having an issue with the issuer.exe processs. Whenever it starts up for the first time it consistently gives an error of: The instruction at "0x004167ca" referenced memovery at "0x0000000c" The memory could not be "read". The computer is on SP3. I have uninstalled and re-installed the client as well. The computer's OS is Windows XP SP3. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
