I have LANDesk management Suite console runnint on my Windows 7 32bit desktop. When I try to remote control to some workstations I am getting a message "LANDesk Instant Support Suite Console has stopped working". I don't get this message on all workstations that I try to remote to.

Can't remote control client in 9.5+SP1
Hi All,
I have a client which used to be fine on RC functuion in 9.0 and 9.5. After upgrade to SP1, it is quite weird. Here is what I did:
1. Install SP1 on 9.5 Core server
2. Uninstall client agent with "FORCECLEAN" switch and reboot by using UninstallWinClient.exe from the upgraded core.
3. Install new agent from the upgraded core and reboot.
4. The client icon in the console shows that the remote control service is responded. Do remote control from the console and then the connection failed after a while.
The client runs on Win 7 x64.
I open the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient to the client\rcgui.log" with continuing logs as below in the client hard drive:

It looks like never stop from the log file. Is it a problem? This does not happen on other clients which are working correctly. And idea?

isscntr.exe crashes due to non-standard display resolution
Hi everyone,
I had some problems with remoting into a machine that had a non standard screen resolution (1600 x 900). The isscntr.exe was crashing, but the connection stayed open with the remote machine. After a little twiaking with the resolution, I was able to remote in the machine without any problems. All other resolution options on the laptop were just fine, exept for 1600 x 900.
Here are some technical details, if any of you have had the same issue in the past and have found a solution:
LD 8.8 SP4
Landesk remote control mirror driver ver. 9.0
client machine: Dell Vostro 3700, video card nvidia GForce GT330M
video driver 6.14.11.8921

Autologin:Shift doesn't work to open a different session
Configuration:
Windows 7 Pro with autologin on a local account
Without remote control, so on the machine really , to change the login we had to push the "Shift" button and we have the popup loggin (NO PROBLEM)
BUT, on remote control i push the Shift Button and the autologin continue (????????), so I can't change the login!
I try the same agent on a XP machine (NO PROBLEM)

Remote control viewer is not installed properly.
I have a new install of Landesk 9. All of the web console users get an error that the remote control viewer is not installed properly. We have set the Internet options properly per the document that seems to end all other discussions on this thread, but we still get the error. We have registered execviewer2.dll and installed enurcsetup.exe. What else could be happening?

Disable ask for remote control permission for one machine
Hi,
We have a policy in place through Landesk where the agent asks for permission to connect to a user's machine. One user has 2 machines at their desk. They would like to use Landesk to connect to the 2nd machine without being asked for permission. Is that possible?
Shared Clipboard in Landesk Remote control stops working

I`m Servicedesk agent in my company and we are using Landesk Remote Control version 9.01.0.122. On Windows 7 Enterprise x64 I am often having the problem that after ~2 days the shared clipboard between my comp and the one which i controll is not working anymore.The problem starts at the connection part: i want to connect to a comp, the user gets the confirmation dialog, accepts the connection then I get the blue edge around the Landesk window then the Landesk window is not responding for a few seconds, then finally unfreezes, the edge turns yellow and finally I can control the remote pc. At this point everything works except the shared clipboard (no copy between computers possible) and the connection to the remote computers drives via Windows Explorer also is not working. Untill now the only fix I found is to reboot my computer. But I have to do this every 2 days and in the environment where I work this is really frustrating because I have to startup tons of tools.
The Landesk "experts" in my company have no idea how to fix this, I have bombed them with tons of email but they ignore me and I do not have the time and knowledge to troubleshoot it.
Please, please help me solve this issue.

avast endpoint protection disables LANDesk remote control
We have been using LANDesk for years, and LANDesk remote control is an important part of my management repertoire. We are now transitioning from another 3rd-party anti-virus to Avast anti-virus Endpoint Protection. Unfortunately, the Avast blocks LANDesk Remote Control somehow.
It works fine until Avast is installed, even with the Windows firewall on, which is the normal state.
After Avast installation, LANDesk remote control will not work unless the Windows firewall is turned off.
Clearly, Avast is changing some firewall rule. However, I can't find what rule is changed, and there is nothing I can find on the LANDesk community that gives a list of what Windows Firewall rules LANDesk needs.

Remote Control on DOS windows

I have encounterd an issue for LanDesk Remote Control. In some DOS windows it's impossible type and operate via Remote Control. I see the windows, but it's like it doesn't exist for remote control. The other stuff in windows works fine. Thanx in advance who want to help.
New remote control agent cab for 9.5?
I use the remote control agent off the broker quite a bit for on demand remote control. Does anyone know if 9.5 SP1 has a new cab containing all the files? I was able to find the view cab but not an agent cab file. But I notice in SP1 several of the rc agent files are new.

issftran.dll hang / can't reinstall

We use LDMS9 SP2 and I had it on my PC working fine for the last few months, however, I had to completely
reinstall my system from scratch, and reinstalling LDMS is an issue.
It hangs on that pesky issftran.dll.
Suggestions were to enter Bios and disable the fingerprinting thingy: no luck
Uninstall Dell security software: no luck
Get the newer .dll from

ISSUSER Application Error
I have a lenovo t510 that is having an issue with the issuer.exe processs. Whenever it starts up for the first time it consistently gives an error of: The instruction at "0x004167ca" referenced memovery at "0x0000000c" The memory could not be "read". The computer is on SP3. I have uninstalled and re-installed the client as well. The computer's OS is Windows XP SP3. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am using LANDesk 9 Service Pack1. I tried to connect to a PC today and recieved the error "Can't contact remote computer using LANDesk PDS2 discovery." I read a couple articles that said to make sure ports 9595 and 9535 are not blocked. When I scan the ports, I see 9535 is open and no listing for 9595. I scanned a machine that I had just remoted into and the same ports were listed: 9535 was there and 9595 was not.
Does anyone have more information as to why I may be recieving this error?

How to setup "Request Permission for Remote Control"
We have Landesk 8.7 SP3 [yes I know its out of date] and we have the remote agent deployed to some 1500 machines, so making the change to 8.8 is a bit of a mammoth task, unless there is a short cut.
Anyway onto my question.
If we need to remote control a machine, we just right click and do Remote Control and user doesnt need to give me permission to control their machine or anything like that.
Now one user wants to block this "free" access and wants to click yes please control my pc button, but I do not know how I can do this to just one machine?
Any ideas?

We can not use remote controle on wan connection.
The contectual remote controle menu is disable.
Remote Computer Does Not Match The Intended Target?...
I keep on getting the following error on computers that are on subnets other than the server and are in different physical locations
"The remote computer does not match the intended target. You may be about to access the wrong computer. Do you want to continue?"
When I do connect to the PC, it is the right computer and some times it's not - remember it's happening on various computers. These are the same computers where H/W and S/W inventory scans did not run for a long time. Could it be a DNS issue and if it is how do I get this resolved - any ideas.
This might be the reason that my deployments are not so successfull and also wake on lan is not working 100%.

Computer not in your scope (until you query the scope)
I have a recurring problem where my help desk cannot remote control a computer because it is not in their scope. All I have to do to fix it is login with the console and 'Show Devices' on the scope. Then the machine will show up in the scope and my help desk can remote control it. The scope is defined that they can remote control anything that isn't an admin machine or a server OS. I am running 8.8 SP3.
Should the scope be 'refreshing' itself at a specific interval? How does that all work?
